A bit about me...
My thoughts on AI...
Hi there, my name's Eja!
I'm a student studying Computer Science at Arizona State University. I've been coding and building things for nearly 4 years, and I've been doing back-to-back SWE internships for over a year now.
I've had a variety of professional software engineering experiences - I've worked at large top tech companies like Google, I've worked at fast-paced AI startups, and I've been continuously working on my own startups and personal projects.
While initially skeptical, my 2 internships at Cover really sparked my interest in AI and Machine Learning.
While working as a full-stack SWE during my 1st internship, I realized how I could leverage AI to not only become vastly more productive, but also unlock new possibilities for the end product.
When I returned to Cover as an AI/ML intern, I was able to discover another even more exciting side of AI, actually training and fine-tuning AI models to make our features even more effective and impactful for our B2B clients.
I've since been working to incorporate AI into my own startup ventures, building tools like Woqi, an AI agent for security teams.
It's awesome how quickly AI is improving, and how things that weren't possible even a few months ago are being made possible now. Above all, it appeals to my innate curiosity and desire to not only learn new things, but also apply that in novel ways. I hope to bring that spirit of innovation with me, no matter what I'm doing.

Cover
AI/ML Software Engineer Intern
Jan 2025 - May 2025
● Engineered the ‘Live Redact’ feature, expanding redaction services to livestreams, audio, and video calls, enabling an 18% increase in net revenue from prior redaction APIs
● Used Python, PyTorch, OpenCV, and PaddleOCR to identify and redact sensitive info in real time ( <500ms latency)
● Tested, productionalized, and released the feature, now serving 20+ B2B client teams
● Fine-tuned & integrated multiple genAI models (LLMs, TTS, Stable Diffusion) to generate dummy data and overlay on top of PII, allowing users to choose between overt and discreet redactions
